 My daughter will graduate in December and be able to work.  At this time we will not need anyone to assist us since she will be going to work.  So as you can see our needs are only temporary.  We have struggled  to make it on our own but are now beginning to fall further and further behind and have gotten to the point that my income isn't enough to provide us with the mere necessities to survive.  Please, anyone who can help us or put me in touch with someone who can contact me.  My monthly utility bills are already past due and our cupboard is low.

Emotions are hard to deal with. Try to just observe and describe them, then maybe they won't overwhelm you. My heart goes out to you and your daughter, I've been in that position before!

Have had to put my 22 year old veteran daughter of the Gulf War in a therapy center.She liked four weeks graduating from nursing school when she had her meltdown. The stress of no proper counciling and coming back to the realy world and trying to pick up where she left off before she left was more than she could bear. The V.A offered no help when we went to them. All of these burdens have put a major stress on our finances and we are living on the bare essentials to just survive. Today I have experienced more emotions at once that I knew could exist.

Oma, You can CALL 2-1-1 in your area (the call is free) they can direct you to services, organizations and resources that may be able to assist you. Here is a listing of serice offices in Philadelphia, MS. Scroll through the list and locate organizations such as red cross, human services, and your local chamber of commerce.
